Peter Colahan is Chief Executive of Business Tourism Australia. With over 20 year’s industry experience, Peter has been one of Australia’s pioneer’s into Asia and Japan and has successfully created a substantial business network particularly in the emerging markets of India and China.

Moving successfully into Business Tourism, Peter has already become a market leader, successfully hosting two high profile companies such as Amway China 13,600 pax and Hero Honda India 750 pax in 2005 in Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast.

Peter Colahan’s industry experience has included being a Senior Director at one of Australia’s leading theme park and Ramada International Hotels and Resorts, Chairman of a Chapter of the Australian Export Tourism Council, Executive Director of one of Australia’s leading inbound tourism companies, member of several tourism advisory groups and senior management positions in the hospitality industry. He has been a key note speaker at many industry events and conferences and has been invited to sit on many ministerial advisory committees’.

Peter has been at the forefront in the successful development of inbound tourism to Australia from key markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, India and China.
